This also gives them free reign to create bright, colorful marketing graphics and assets using a variety of colors. Try using a multi-colored logo color scheme yourself to see just how colorful you can make your brand.

This offset of warm and cool colors is a specific type of color harmony. There are many different types of color harmonies, providing the best practice methods for aesthetically pleasing color pallets in photography & art.

You can use the Color Guide panel or the Edit Colors/Recolor Artwork dialog box to create harmonious color groups. Using either feature, you can choose a harmony rule to instantly generate a color scheme based on any color you want. For example, choose the Monochromatic harmony rule to create a color group containing all the same hue, but with different saturation levels. Or choose the High Contrast or Pentagram harmony rule to create a color group with contrasting colors for more visual impact.

You can manipulate the colors that the Color Guide panel generatesin several ways, including changing the harmony rule, or adjustingthe variation type (such as tints and shades or vivid and muted),and the number of variation colors that appear.

Use the Edit tab to create new color groups or edit existingcolor groups. Use the Harmony Rules menu and the color wheel toexperiment with color harmonies. The color wheel shows you how colorsin a harmony are related, while the color bars let you see and manipulateindividual color values. In addition, you can adjust brightness, add and remove colors, save color groups, and preview the colorson selected artwork.

You create a color group in the Edit Colors/Recolor Artwork dialog box by choosing a base color and a harmony rule. The harmony rule uses the base color as the basis for generating the colors in the color group. For example, if you choose a blue base color and the Complementary harmony rule, a color group is created using the base color, blue, and its complement, red.

As you manipulate the colors in the color wheel, the selected harmony rule continues to govern the colors that are generated for the group. To break the harmony rule and edit the colors freely, click the Unlink button .

When you usea harmony rule to create a color group, the colors are linked by default. When a color group is linked, editing one color changes the othercolors according to the harmony rule. To edit one color withoutchanging the others, unlink the color markers from the harmony rule.

Understanding how colors correspond with one another (aka color theory) has been THE biggest transformation for me and how I paint. Knowing what colors to mix up and what to paint and when to create harmony has built so much confidence and allowed me to progress with art much faster than before.

Color styles can be combined into groups called harmonies. A harmony allows you to link color styles into hue-based relationships and modify them together as a set. By editing color styles in a harmony, you can quickly create a variety of alternate color schemes by shifting the colors together, or you can alter the color composition of your artwork in one step.

In the Color Styles docker, click the New color harmony button and choose New Color Harmony.A folder icon for the color harmony appears in the bottom part of the gray area.

Choose a color swatch from the harmony folder and drag it to one or more objects. This links the harmony color with that object, so that it will be automatically updated whenever you edit the harmony colors.

To change the value of only one color, click on a color selector swatch (in either the color harmony folder or the Harmony Editor). The corresponding color selector ring will become highlighted in the color wheel so that you can adjust the color.

After selecting a specific color from the harmony folder, the Color Editor provides several options for editing the color. You can use the Eyedropper tool to sample a new color from within the CorelDRAW workspace, or from the desktop. You can also use any of the color sliders, color viewers, and color palettes to pick a precise color.

CorelDRAW allows you to create a special type of color harmony called a gradient. A gradient consists of a master color style and a number of shades of that color. In most of the available color models and palettes, the derivative styles share the same hue as the master color style, but have different saturation and brightness levels.

Notes: You can share your harmony folders and color styles with other CorelDRAW X7 users, or import them on another machine. Simply email the stylesheet.cdss file and import it into CorelDRAW X7. 2ff7e9595c
